Qayaas is the first progressive alternative rock band from Pakistan, a country where traditionally music has been looked down upon rather than being celebrated as an art form. This gives our music a sense of rebellion and a rallying cry for pathos.

Qayaas literally translated as “deliberation” is not only the name of our band but the essence that encapsulates the entire philosophy behind our music. The idea or feeling taking birth in one band member’s mind is developed and brought to fruition by collective deliberation or Qayaas by the whole band. Five different people, their different moods, outlooks and music philosophies harmoniously blend to form compositions that reflect the true spirit and creative energy of our band; unadulterated in this wondrous journey by commercial concerns or other shortcuts.

Our music tends to explore emotions, specific moments, certain relationships and particular events which resonate powerfully as we try to understand ourselves and the world around us. We do not aim to have a large body of musical compositions but only put through quality pieces governed by unique ideas and techniques. Each melody is a different journey, starting with something personal and then refining it to create a certain mood. As a whole, Qayaas is an accumulation of musicians from quite diverse backgrounds. All members have been, and still are, part of various other projects that serve as a vent for musical expression.

Qayaas is the brainchild of lead guitar player and songwriter Khurram Waqar. It all started when he saw Umair jam with his previous band in his studio and invited him to work on material that he had written. What started out initially as an acoustic EP turned into a full blown album. When Fifu and Sherry who were already in a band ‘kNuMB’ with Khurram joined in, “Qayaas” was born. Sarmad Ghafoor who was an old friend of Fifu and Khurram joined in later when he was invited by them to come and listen to the album. He loved the material and became a part of Qayaas. Khurram and Sarmad then worked together to complete the audio production of the album which was released on April 16, 2011 in Pakistan in Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot and Karachi. The album can also be bought online on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody.

The most important thing about the album is that it has been recorded and produced completely by the band. This is at par with any international recording with attention being paid to ever minute little detail. Every single song has been mixed and mastered as per the overall feel and vibe of the song.

We were a part of Coke Studio Season 5 where we collaborated with pop star Atif Aslam for a song "Cahrkha Nolakha". It is the biggest hit of the season so far with almost 1.5 million views.

We bagged the awards for the Best Rock Vocalist, Best Rock Song (Shehrezade), Best Rock Group, a silver award in the category of the Most Mind-blowing Music Video for Pukaar and were voted as the Best Freaking act in the Universe by our peers at the IndieGo awards held in Malaysia in Feb 2012. The awards aim to honour some of the best independent music and bands present in South Asia.

We have recently won the JD Award for the best rock band from Pakistan 2010. The awards were hosted by Jack Daniels and Rolling Stones Magazine, India. We performed in New Delhi at The Hard Rock Cafe on December 16, 2010 for the JD Rock Awards Tour in front of a packed 800 crowd.

We are the first band from Pakistan to be invited to come and perform at one of the biggest and most prestigious Music Festivals in USA called SXSW (South By Southwest) which takes place every year in Austin, Texas.

Our song “Inquilaab” recently made it to the Semi Finals of International Songwriting Competition (ISC) out of 15,000 entries from all over the globe.

We were the most played band with our song “Mera Wana“ on the METAL ASIA COMPILATION 2010 which included all Asian metal bands.

Our songs “Inquilaab” and “Pal” have been chosen as the soundtrack for an upcoming movie “Waar”. The movie is being produced my Mindworks Media.

Our song “Mera Wana” will be used in the soundtrack of another upcoming movie “Peochar” by Mindworks Media.

We have so far released 4 music videos “Tanha”, "Pukaar", "Umeed" and "Shehrezade" which are currently doing the rounds on the Pakistan music channels namely MTV, Aag, ARY Musik, Oxygene and Play TV. We are in the process of releasing more singles and videos.

Ty Taylor (vocals) and Nalle Colt (guitar) formed Vintage Trouble after setting up a basic home studio in Venice Beach. They invited their mutual friend Rick Barrio Dill to play bass for the band, and then recruited Richard Danielson to play drums. "We got together in 2010," Taylor told Billboard. "It was one of those experiences where everything was lined up. We had all been friends, and had known each other before the band started up. We had known each other in different arenas. I had known Nalle Colt for about fourteen years, and we had tried to play with each other for so long. We were in one right before Vintage Trouble, and things just weren't working out. So, we left, and decided we wanted to do something a little more raw and down to earth." Taylor has said that the line-up of Colt, Danielson, Barrio Dill and himself developed a good chemistry: "It just felt like we were in a family of people that were going to challenge us."

The band then began creating material in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles. After just two weeks of rehearsals in early 2010, the group began playing local area shows and late night speakeasies. Aiming to emulate mid-century soul music and to use the recording techniques of that era, the band spent a three-day session recording complete takes, turning out 12 new songs for the album "The Bomb Shelter Sessions". Such singles as '"Gracefully", "Nancy Lee", "Still & Always Will" and "Blues Hand Me Down" aimed to produce a sound reminiscent of the days of vinyl records and juke joints, and the essence of the original soul movement. The album was produced by Peter McCabe and co-produced by Vintage Trouble themselves. The album was mixed by Rogers Masson.

How and where the band launched their career in earnest is an important part of their story. They initially took their music outside the USA, as part of a strategy conceived by legendary manager Doc McGhee. "If you look at the history of people like Amy Winehouse, Duffy, or James Blunt, they came [to America] first and didn't make it. Then, they went back over to England, and blew up. We just decided to go to Europe first, and when they were accepted there, we would have a story to share here. That's basically what happened." McGhee wanted to get them in front of as many people as possible, and the strategy worked. "It was pretty simple. The concept was to get all the tastemakers together, and those people spread the word. We got Brian May to give us some dates, and also some stadium shows with Bon Jovi. It's just hard work by these guys. They just get up in the morning, and go conquer," he said.^[

After three shows in the UK in early 2011, the band returned in April of that year to appear on Jools Holland's late night TV show Later... with Jools Holland. The band became the 6th most trending topic of the day on Twitter, attained the #13 best selling digital album on iTunes, and had the #5 all around best selling digital album on Amazon UK, beating out both Rihanna and the current Glee (TV series) albums. Additionally, VT had the #2 best selling digital Rock album on Amazon.com UK, and the #1 best selling R&B digital album on Amazon UK. On the 24th April 2011, they appeared on The Late Show with JoAnne Good, (Sunday Night Sessions segment) on BBC London 94.9.

The band joined Brian May (guitar player of rock band Queen) and Kerry Ellis for a tour starting in early May 2011, and in June 2011 supported rock band Bon Jovi on the UK leg of their The Circle Tour.

The band played for Paul Stanley on January 20, 2012 at his 60th Birthday Party and Paul sang "You Shook Me" by Led Zeppelin.

On April 24, 2012, "The Bomb Shelter Sessions" was released in the U.S.

They are the opening act for The Who on that band's first North American tour in four years.

They are the opening act for Dave Matthews Band at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, AL. on April 6th, 2013.

Van Eps has been a mainstay in the Seattle rock scene for the last 5 years. Their sound can best be described as a “classic feel with a modern edge”, drawing influence from the Foo Fighters, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, and Jet, to name a few. After the success of their Sophomore release "Dirty Valentine". The ONE boys felt incredibly inspired to begin working on a new album. Having spent the better part of the last 3 years touring, there was a lot of excitement about getting back into writing mode. "You spend all that time out on the road,
you see so much, experience so much and have so much to say. You just gotta sit down and begin to
put it all down on paper", says Danny Rossi.

"Being away from home so much makes you feel a certain way that at times is hard to put into words. It is an amazing feeling to have great fans and friends so far away from home," says guitarist Chris Staniforth.

Having had success and a good vibe recording "Dirty Valentine" ONE decided to again acquire the services of Slaves on Dope guitarist Kevin Jardine. "He did a good job on the last record. He provides a good mix of honesty and input that just works well with us," says Staniforth.

The band spent way more time preparing for the studio process than the last record. Building a small pre-production studio in the house on one of the band members, making it way easier to get work done. "We began putting stuff together and getting a feel for where we were going with this record, continues
Staniforth.

"We wrote the least record relatively fast. We wanted to take more time on this one. Trying not to over analyze but at the same time just putting more into it," says Rossi. "You obviously learn with every album you are gonna put out, so it was more about just applying what we have learned."

Three years can seem to be a long stretch between albums. "The demand to tour always seemed to be there. You can get caught up pretty quick and not realize that all this time has gone by," says drummer Rudy Occhionero. "Playing shows and connecting with people is where the magic happens. It is where you
find out who you really are as a band."

Having added bassist Phil Hardy after the recording process had finished for "Dirty Valentine" this was the first writing and studio experience for Hardy, or "The Rookie" as he is also known as. "I was excited and nervous. Playing shows is one thing, but working on an album is another. It is all very exciting
for me," says Hardy.

In the music business today, albums can sound generic and too polished. Something that ONE tries to avoid. "The bands and albums that inspire us to be musicians are the old school Led Zeppelin, Ramones and Motley Crue records. Nowadays everything is sampled and over compressed for radio, the soul of the songs at
times seems to be lacking," says guitarist Staniforth who also co-produced the last album with Jardine.

"I love the old school hair metal. It is what I grew up on and I still listen to today. Fun, shake your ass catchy tunes that stand the test of time. The kind of tunes that can rock the House Live,' says Rossi.

The new album "Worlds Collide" speaks of struggles and success stories of todays reality. A groovy, rock your face off album that has a little something for everyone. "It even has a song that if you turned the heavy guitars back could be considered country," says Rossi.

"With so much going on in the World, you can't help but write about it. It is all about staying positive and staying the course," adds Staniforth.

With a new album comes a new chapter. A chapter that the band will write one show at a time.

The members of Capitol 3 found each other in the band Blackberry Wednesday. In the fall of 201l Blackberry Wednesday came to an end, and three of the members, Rod Henson (singer), Lucien Croy (guitarist), and David Wade (Drummer) came together to form Capitol 3, with a new concept.

In the summer of 2011 while on a short tour that include playing at the Florida Music Conference, we had one of those "on the road" moments that would change everything. While sitting at a bar in Jacksonville Beach, FL, the 3 of us were forced to ask ourselves what if?

So over the next couple of months we worked on the recordings and presented the idea to our label. The label strongly objected to our new concept, and sense we had fulfilled our contact, we parted ways. Unsigned and Loving it! Within a few weeks we were able to streamline the music by putting the bass and rhythm guitars on tracks , and took the show on the road. As it was, due to the abrupt end to our last project, we still had some dates to fulfill and after a brief tour as a 3 piece we new this was the proof that the jam is really still the jam.

Capitol 3 is currently working on our debut album that is due out in September of 2012, and is planning a pre and post release tour. Stay tune for schedule updates and exciting news from Capitol 3. wasssaaaHH!!!!

LoNero gave birth to Guitarcore with their first release “Relentless” in 2007. Fourteen tracks of punishing rhythms and strong melodic hooks. From the time “Relentless” was released, musical barriers were not only broken, but shattered! “Turn up the Marshall Stacks and Never Turn Your Back on Rock & Roll”- not only the lyrics to Stampede Queen’s hugely successful and best known anthem, it loudly and proudly declares who Stampede Queen is as a Rock and Roll band. As any of the band’s devoted fans will happily tell you, a Stampede Queen show is intense, raw energy, delivered with the conviction of a band that walks it like they talk it… their verve nothing short of contagious.

Stampede Queen has never been a band concerned with being the next “flavour of the month”, instead embracing it’s Rock and Roll influences, deeply rooted in the hell raising, whiskey soaked era of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Cheap Trick,with a dash of Kiss thrown in for good measure.
The clever, tongue in cheek lyrics from singer Zack Daniels further ads to their infectious songs, easily comparable to the classic styling’s of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler or Van Halen’s David Lee Roth, all combining for a sound that is fun, sexy and “in your face, you’re gonna know we were here kind of Rock n’ Roll!”

The band has released two full length records, their debut “A Night at the Cockfights” and their follow up self-titled release, “Stampede Queen”, both to critical acclaim, with singles from both records still in rotation on radio stations throughout Canada, Europe and the U.S. They are also being featured on popular Internet Rock Radio Stations…the latest being Las Vegas’ “MetalHeadRadio.com”, with more and more requests for the band everyday.

Stampede Queen’s debut video, “Never Turn Your Back on Rock and Roll”, produced by Toronto Film Companies Maverick Films and 48 Media, has enjoyed much success in both Canada and the U.S., having been played on Canada’s Much Music, as well as seeing regular rotation on Rock Nation TV. In addition to also being featured on the Hollywood Hairspray DVD, the video was voted as the #1 Canadian Rock Video by Rock Nation listeners.

After some line-up changes within the band over the last couple of years, singer and founding member Zack Danielshas amassed what’s now being called the most “lethal lineup” of Stampede Queen to date. With the recent acquisition of guitarist Andrew West, along with the thundering rhythm section of bass player Vic Vegas, Nico Amoroso on Percussion and long time drummer Richie Lee Derksen, who also shares a lot of the vocal duties as well. The band is poised to bring the raw energy and “blow your hair back” power and style of their often sold out shows to the die-hard fans around the world.

While continuing to perform and tour this Spring and Summer, the band is also in the studio putting the final touches on two new singles being released in advance of their new full length record, scheduled for release in the fall.
